Businessweek Online reports that three of the five largest IPOs last year were in solar photovoltaics, and space that is expected to "grow from an $11.2 billion dollar industry in 2005 to a $51.1 billion dollar industry by 2015."
Out of a 39-group sample taken by the Angel Capital Association, 25 Energy/Industrial deals took place in 2005. I'm assuming a few of these were in photovoltaics. If angels are smart, and they usually are, the number of photovoltaics deals will go up significantly in the coming years.
